IVANA JAKŠIĆ MATOVIĆ

CONSUL GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA IN TIMISOARA

She was born in 1983 in Prijepolje, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She graduated from the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies in Belgrade in 2005 and completed her studies at the Police Academy in Belgrade in 2009.

From 2005 to 2017, she was employed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, in the Directorate of Criminal Police. Since 2017, she has been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, in the Consular Affairs Sector, holding the position of First Counselor.

She completed the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

From August 2017 to 2021, she served as the Head of the Consular Department at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Slovenia. From 2021 to 2022, she worked as First Counselor, focusing on monitoring consular relations within the Consular Affairs Department.

Since 2023, she has held the position of Head of the Group for Legalization and Civil Registers in the Consular Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, with the rank of Minister Counselor.

As of 2024, she serves as the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Timișoara.

She is married and the mother of two children.
